Instructions for Completing Application
- Admission Application
- Complete the Admission Application and return to the School of Nursing.
- Include a non-refundable application fee of $35.00 payable to the Brandywine School of Nursing.
- Diagnostic Entrance Test (NET)
- High School Transcript
- Release form is to be given to the guidance counselor or principal of your high school or schools in order to have your high school record sent to us. Transcript must include your SAT scores and class rank.
- Applicants with a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) must have an official copy of results sent from the testing center where the test was taken.
- College and other Nursing School Transcripts
- To be considered official applicants must have all college transcripts sent directly to Brandywine School of Nursing from the colleges that they have attended. Hand delivered transcripts cannot be considered official. All transcripts must be signed, dated, and have school seal to be considered official.
- Nursing School transcripts must be accompanied by detailed course outlines so that placement within our program can be determined.
- Licensed Practical Nurses must have LPN transcripts sent directly to Brandywine School of Nursing.
- Scholastic Aptitude Test of the College Entrance Examination Board (SAT)
- If you have taken this test, please have your scores forwarded to us. It will not be necessary to do this if your scores are included on your high school transcript.
- If you have not already taken this examination, have your guidance counselor arrange for you to take it by your senior year or as soon thereafter as possible. The code number for Brandywine School of Nursing is 2131.
- In lieu of SAT scores, American College Testing (ACT) score of 18 will be accepted.
- Reference Letters
- Please sign the waiver of accessibility on the reference forms and ask two teachers, employers or counselors to complete the forms. Individuals completing the references should send them directly to the School of Nursing.
- Appointment for Interview
- After all of the above have been received, we will contact you to schedule an interview.
- Appointment consists of an interview, discussion of our program, and a tour. The complete visit takes approximately one hour.
- Please notify the school within 48 hours when canceling or rescheduling an interview.
- Acceptance or Rejection
- Following interview, a decision will be made by the Admissions Committee and you will be notified by letter within four weeks. Upon notification of acceptance you may secure your place in the class with a non-refundable deposit of $100.00.
